Privacy Policy

1. Overview

VeilTun (“we”, “us”, “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data. Our core principle: we do not log your VPN traffic.

2. What we do NOT collect

  • Your originating IP address while using the VPN
  • VPN session timestamps or connection duration
  • DNS queries made through the VPN
  • Traffic data, browsing history, or content
  • Bandwidth usage per session
  • Your real geographic location

3. What we minimally collect

To provide and improve the service, we collect:

  • Account data: email address and hashed password (or third-party auth token) used to authenticate your subscription.
  • Payment data: handled by our payment processor (RevenueCat + Apple/Google). We receive only an anonymized subscription status — no card numbers.
  • Aggregated analytics: crash reports and anonymized app performance metrics (e.g., connection success rate) that cannot be traced back to an individual user.
  • Support communications: emails you send to our support address, retained only for as long as necessary to resolve your issue.

4. WireGuard & technical notes

VeilTun uses the WireGuard protocol. WireGuard maintains a list of allowed public keys (peers) on each server. A peer entry does not contain your IP history — it only associates a public key with an allowed subnet. Peer entries for active subscribers are removed promptly upon subscription expiry or account deletion.

5. Data retention

Account data is retained while your account is active and for up to 30 days after deletion, for fraud prevention. Aggregated analytics are retained in anonymized form indefinitely. Support emails are deleted within 90 days of resolution.

6. Third-party services

We use the following third-party services:

  • RevenueCat — subscription management
  • Apple App Store / Google Play — payment processing
  • Railway — web hosting (EU/US data centers)

Each service is bound by its own privacy policy. We do not share your personal data with third parties for advertising purposes.

7. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your account and associated data
  • Object to certain processing activities

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy periodically. Material changes will be communicated via in-app notice or email. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
